The CoreHW CHW1010-EVKN1-1.0 locator serves as an evaluation kit device designed for the development of indoor positioning systems based on Bluetooth® AoA technology.
This locator encompasses the CHW1010-ANT1-1.0 AoA antenna array board and the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52833 development kit board. The antenna array board contains eight dual linear polarized patch antennas and the CoreHW CHW1010 SP16T antenna switch, which can be used to control and sample RF signals, such as those used for Bluetooth® AoA and AoD technology.
The nRF52833 development Kit board features the Nordic Semiconductor nRF52833 SoC, that controls the CoreHW 1010 antenna switch and performs I/Q-sampling of packets transmitted by tags. The I/Q samples can be subsequently transmitted for further processing within the positioning system via the USB interface.
Multiple CHW1010-LOCN1-1.0 locators can be linked to a Windows 10 PC via the USB interface and used together with the CoreHW Demo PC software to effectively demonstrate AOA indoor positioning capabilities.
